Where may I ask did you read this? I suspect that you would only need to use
tcp/ip if SQL server was on a different box than your datastore. Otherwise
you should probably be ok.  I don't think this setting can be change without
reinstalling SQL server.

Not knowing a lot about sql, I need to ask a question.  I read that when
setting up the connection to the data store you should use tcp/ip instead of
named pipes which is the default.  Is there a way to change this once it has
been set?  And if so, how?
