Try setting a MaxMem=1024 in the boot.ini during the install(reboot first).
Also make sure your system is patched shy of SP4. Are you using the
installer from the support.citrix.com web site for servers with W2k SP3 or
the one off of the CD?

Subject: [THIN] reposted - XPe/FR2 install error on Dell 2650 / W2K SP3

Fellow list members

Still unable to install MF XPe FR2/SP2. Have been tring to rebuild this
server for the last three weeks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to rebuild a Dell 2650 / Dual 2.4 Xeon, 3gb ram with W2K / SP3 /
MDAC 2.7, SQL 2000 SP3 datastore with MF XPe / FR2 and remapped drives. When
I run the install I get almost to the end and get a blank dialogue box that
only has an option to OK. After this the install seems to finish ok. The
server is added to the Citrix Farm but there is no ica-tcp connection only
RDP. When I try to start the ICA connection I get the following error;

Can't obtain the stated connection ' ica-tcp' from the registry.
(Error 2 - The system cannot find the files specified)

When I compare the ICA registry entries of a working server and this server
there seems to be a lot of keys missing.

If I uninstall MF XPe I get errors trying to replace system files that were
overwritten. The server is removed from the Farm but it won't restart.

XPe/FR2 was working on this server in production for some months but I had a
problem with excel so decided to rebuild to fix that problem. I have
searched the Internet for a solution to no avail.

Any help with this will be much appreciated.
