You've still got the published application sat on the citrix farm - scripted
updates to the clients if needs be - its not as if all hope is completely
lost ;)

Keep in mind that with this solution you lose the centralized management
that is a great part of Metaframe.   Now you have to individually control
every workstation if something needs to change.
