Sounds like a permissions problem on the location of the file.

I forgot to mention. We still are on IPX/SPX with the Novell servers.

Subject: [THIN] file save errors

All;

We have an annoying error that is showing up more frequently.

A user opens a Word file, makes some changes (or not), then saves file to
same folder (or a different folder) under a new name. The user then gets
the following Microsoft Word error message:

   The folder 'Y:\Documents\...\filename.doc' isn't accessible. The folder
may be located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password.

The folder\file is located on a Novell 4.12 server. The user generally is
the only one using the file. The mapped drive has been created using a
login script, as well as via Windows Explorer.

The Citrix servers are XPe FR3 SP3, on Windows 2000 SP4. MS patches #821225
& #324446 have been applied.

One Citrix server has the Novell 4.9 client installed (soon to be removed),
the other uses MS client for Netware.

The above error has occurred with Excel also.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Don
