Are you running Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 for your OS on your MF
servers? If Windows Server 2003, look at Software Restrictions. This is
available in a Windows Server 2003 AD environment, but you could effectively
create a GPO that has this functionality. Of course, this would mean
creating a custom GPO and manually editing it or using the GPMC to edit it.
Software Restrictions is aimed at replacing APPSEC, and using the functions
of a GPO without an EXE that isn't granular.

Yeah...works great on Win2k Server. There's a hotfix out there for it.
Make sure you install it. If you don't use filemon from sysinternals.com,
get it. You'll need it to help you find all the right processes that get
started when you run apps.
