Suggest migrating to XP.
I had asimilar situation and sucessfully migrated across to XP,by putting
the farm into compatibility mode, and creating the same published apps on
the new XP farm.
The user had no idea it had been done
Once all the servers had come across, put the farm back into native mode.
I followed the instructions from Brian Madden guide - thanks Brian - and it
all worked a treat.

I've got an XP FR3 farm, and I've just acquired a 1.8 farm of 5 LB'd servers
that I'm required to host and manage. I much prefer the management
capabilities of MFXP and would like to migrate the 1.8, but I'm thinking the
path of least resistance is to keep 1.8 as is. Any thoughts?
