Joe From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Foster, Bill Sent: Tuesday, September 15, 2009 6:19 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] XenServer Does anyone have any experience using the XenServer Management Interface over a tagged vlan? In my HP BL460c blades I don't have the option of adding additional Nic's to the config (no budget). I know this is not officially supported. Any thoughts? Bill Foster Citrix doesn't support the use of management interface via VLAN, as said in the XenServer documentation<http://docs.xensource.com/XenServer/5.0.0/1.0/en_gb/reference.html#networking-changing_network_config-mgmt_nic>. Despite of the lack of official support, this configuration is possible and can be arranged via XenServer management tools. The procedures described in this howto can be performed in standalone XenServers and was tested with versions 5.0U3 e 5.5Beta. http://hackingxenserver.wordpress.com/tag/vlan/ Privacy Notice: This electronic mail message, and any attachments, are confidential and are intended for the exclusive use of the addressee(s) and may contain information that is proprietary and that may be Individually Identifiable or Protected Health Information under HIPAA.
