[THIN] Windows 2003 TS license options...

Ok, so with Sever 2003 you now have the choice of a Named User or Named
Device license.  Do you have to be running 2003 to take advantage of this,
since the licenses are also backwards compatible with Server 2000?  How does
it work in a named user instance?  Is there some sort of query based on the
username?  Does that mean you have to assign users who have the rights to
use that license?
