Yea I wish there was a way to differentiate the client type (web client,
Full PN, PN Agent) during the version upgrade process but no such luck (the
wfica.ocx is queried for version info)....Anyway what I had to do was script
out the uninstallation of the Full PN and then immediately do a install of
the web client.....I wrote two scripts in Winbatch to accomplish this and
packaged it all up with Package for the web.....It worked very well for us
with no errors.....If you are interested in detailed info on how I did this
let me know and I will see if I can dig it up (we use only the web client
now....)

We are having the same problem here. You are not alone in your observation.=
For this reason I have disabled the pushing of the ActiveX web client on =
our NFuse 1.7 portal. Users that have no client at all will need to click =
the link to install ICA32T. Users that already have an older full PN will =
just work.

I have run into several problems with that. I have found that if you have
both on there it can be tricky, but at least have both be the same =
version.

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone knew of any problems here. We have a
bunch of machines that have the full PN version of the client at a 6.20
level. I want to deploy the 6.3x ica32t client to them. What happens if =
I
don't uninstall the old PN version? Are there conflicts? I've tested it
some here and it seems to be working ok, but I want to make sure I have
covered everything.

Thanks,
Paul
