It would seem to me that IE would not allow so many users, as it Is a memory
hog....

I agree with what everyone else has said, the range we have seen is
something like 10-20 with REALLY bad apps, 40-50 for the most common configs
and over 100 with the "ideal" scenario, i.e. just IE for each user. 

Keep in mind that PS 4.0 should increase these numbers!

Completely agree on Rob's statement.  It's impossible to know how many users
can fit on a particular box because we don't know how your users will be
using the application.  Then there is the fact that you didn't specify what
you were using.

I have a mix of G3/G4's that with one application (Facets), I get around 70
- 80 users on them before running out of kernel memory.  Now the kicker on
that is is that the application itself can go higher, it's the modules
developed by the company I work for that have brought the usage down.
