[THIN] Updating to Java 1.5

I'm attempting to update the Java run-time to ver. 1.5 (Metaframe XP
FR3 on Win2000 SP3 server). Server has existing Java version of 1.3.
I get an error message and the installation fails.
Error 1722: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.
Apparently, Sun don't know why the issue is but they blame
InstallShield:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/5000040100.xml
Have tried uninstalling existing Java, inc. deleting all Java
references in the registry and rebooting - to no avail.
What am I missing here?
