I'm interested in creating static DNS entries for these problem sites that point to the loopback IP address so there is no chance of infection. We have done this already for sites such as hotbar.com. Could you post a copy of the list here or maybe Jim can post it on thethin.net. _____ Brian Claus, A+, Network+, MCP Network Administrator WESCO Distribution, Inc. 225 West Station Square Drive, Suite 700 Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1122 Phone: 412-454-2412 Fax: 412-454-2540 bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> _____ - -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Chris Lynch Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 4:29 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Spyware removal - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I use Ad-Aware 6 Professional. It works pretty nicely. But, I haven't configured it to use Ad-Watch within a TS environment. I usually add a HOSTS file that contains DNS names to websites that contain tracking cookies, trojans, etc. Chris - - -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jaimes, Leon Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 1:23 PM To: Thin Mailing List (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] Spyware removal Hello, Does anyone run spyware removal utils like Spybot or Ad-aware on TS or MF servers, or any suggestions about filtering spyware through firewalls or routers?
