Is the license key and activation information really stored in the server registry? Till now I thought that it is stored in the IMA database itself.

I use Regsnap (http://www.lastbit.com/regsnap/default.asp) for comparing the registry before/after installations in order to find out which keys are changed.

(The FAQ entry Jim mentioned, is misleading indeed, because the question refers to the IMA database which doesn't exist in MF 1.8 environments.)
