Always ideal to have separate drive arrays for OS, logs, and store.
It's also even more ideal to have separate controllers and backplanes,
but that bleeds into a little bit of overkill for most situations.

Concur, you can't go wrong with a config like that!

        I just installed Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003. I suggest 8
drives. 2 mirrored for OS, 2 mirrored for Transactions Logs, 4 Raid 5
for Store. With the store the more drives the better although depending
on your load 3 maybe just fine. Also keep in mind that SP2 for Exchange
Std will increase your store limit from 16GB to 75GB so plan for
expansion.

I think it was on this list that I read someting about Exchange
server and RAID arrays?!?

Can anyone enlighten me? I am asked to install Exchange

        with a 6 drive RAID 5 system.
