[THIN] Some MFXP services failing on startup

Hi all -
I have a 10 server MFXP w/FR3 farm running in 1.8 interoperability mode.
One of the servers began having problems starting some of the XP
services last week, after it was patched with Microsoft's MS04-007 and
rebooted.  (I don't think the patch is causing the problem since I've
removed it and it's still not working.  I think the trigger was the
reboot after the patch was applied.)
The failing services log the following events: 
"The ICA Browser service terminated with service-specific error
4294967295."
And 8 minutes later: "The MetaFrame COM Server service terminated with
service-specific error 2147500037."
Additionally, the IMA service will start up correctly, but will hang if
I try to stop it.  
 
I've searched for the event log errors, but the best I could come up
with is problems with printer drivers.  I don't think any drivers have
been installed recently, and disabling the spooler service and rebooting
didn't help.  I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling MF (using the force
uninstall command line), removing the server from the farm, etc.  Every
time I reinstall the problem comes back.  I'd rather not have to rebuild
this server from scratch as it is our test platform and has several
tweaked applications on it.  Does anyone have an idea I could try?
