Ok I tried this. Something odd going on.

W2k3 server.

Ran cscript pagefileconfig.vbs /change /s server /u domain/id /p password /i
4092 /m 4092 /vo c:

It has set it but when I reboot it leaves it to the old size.???

If I look in the properties of the server it says the pagefile should be the
new size but if I look on the c: drive it has not changed??

Any idea what could be going on?

We do it via reg key....Something like the below is 4 gig on the e:\drive.
Set set it on a server you want and export it. Through it in your automated
build somewhere....

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory
Management]

"PagingFiles"=hex(7):43,00,3a,00,5c,00,70,00,61,00,67,00,65,00,66,00,69,00,6
c,\

00,65,00,2e,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,20,00,32,00,20,00,32,00,00,00,45,00,3a,00,\

5c,00,70,00,61,00,67,00,65,00,66,00,69,00,6c,00,65,00,2e,00,73,00,79,00,73,\

  00,20,00,34,00,30,00,39,00,35,00,20,00,34,00,30,00,39,00,35,00,00,00,00,00

Anyone use the "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory
Management\PagingFile key to set page file size?

We need to set it to a fixed value and wanted to automate it. Not user if
it is safe to set this value via a reg file or GPO?

Otherwise we have to set manually and in our image.

thanks
