When you say it hangs, what's actually happening? If you look at the process
list in Task Manager and sort by CPU, what do you see? Is Explorer just
taking 100% of the CPU?

I have seen a similar issue copying a 1.5 gig (or so) text file. The
problem turned out to be my Anti-Virus software (Trend) flagging part of the
file as possibly having a virus so, it locked the file services on the
server until it could completely scan the file and determine that there was
no virus in the file.
My solution was to exclude that directory where the file was placed in Trend
so it wasn't scanning it any longer. Not the best solution, but it worked.
May not be your issue, but hope it helps.

My server is Win2k SP3, Citrix FR3/SP3. The files in question are FoxPro dbf
file and their sizes are around 1.5 gig. It happen when I copied all the
files from one folder to another one on the same drive. I will start copying
the files then the server would hang when it start copying this huge file.
Anyone seems this problem on their environment and what they did to resolve
it? Thanks.
