The first user that notified me of a problem was clicking on a link that brings up a page on our Intranet. The code is set to open a new window. But then I tried going to Google and right clicking a link to open it in a new window and the same thing happened. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Claus, Brian Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 7:15 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Security Update MS05-14 problems What are your links going to? ____________________ Brian Claus, MCP, Network+, A+ Network Administrator WESCO Distribution, Inc. 225 West Station Square Drive, Suite 7000 Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1122 bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ____________________ -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of PETERSON, DAVID Sent: Sunday, March 06, 2005 11:22 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Security Update MS05-14 problems Has anyone experienced a problem with this update that breaks open a new window functionality? This is the latest cumulative update for IE. On our Intranet, we have a bunch of links that open in a new window and they crash IE every time. If I go to another site, like google and right clikc a link to open in a new Window, the same thing happens. This is on IE 6 SP1 for 2000 SP4. I uninstalled the patch and everything works again.
