Unfortunately it does not emulate HP - here is the faq from their
website

Are Samsung printers compatible w/HP?

Answer
Yes, only on certain Samsung printer models. For example, the ML-4500,
ML-1210, ML-5050G, and QL-85G printers do not use the PCL language, and
therefore are not compatible with HP printers. In addition, Samsung
Multi-Function Printers (MFP) are not compatible with HP drivers. All
other Samsung printers however are compatible, and in a network
environment, Samsung printers can be drop-in replacements when
configured correctly.
