If you installed Mcaffee it renames this file for some reason. You'll need
to use the inuse utility to rename as shlwapi._BK to shlwapi.dll
http://thethin.net/inuse.zip and then reboot.

  Subject: [THIN] SHLWAPI error

  Gentlemen & Ladies,

  NT 4.0 SP6 MF 1.8 SP4 No FR

I am getting this error upon login and upon execution of IE 6. Everything
was working for about a week since I rebuilt the OS from scratch, clean
install.

The ordinal 437 could not be located in the dynamic link library
SHLWAPI.dll

The error message box has the title of: Loadwc - Ordinal Not Found

Search on MS site. The very few references to ordinal not found says to
uninstall the application and reinstall it. I said OK. Went to try to
uninstall IE 6. Option not there. However, there was an option to Repair or
to Add components. The Repair failed because, again, of the error above. So
I tried just installing IE 6 from a CD I have. Of course the install program
detected that IE was already there and tried a Repair job. Failed because of
the error.

Any one have any ideas about what I can do?

  Thanks!
