A new profile will be created based on what you have set up on the server. There are some good docs on my site under http://thethin.net/citrixse/index.cfm?D1=Policy%5FTemplates Look at policiesandprofiles.zip and grouppolwp.doc As well as the one entitled Terminal_Services_and_Group_Policy_Administrator.doc Regards, Jim Kenzig http://thin.net "Turman, David C." <david_turman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: v\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML)}o\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML)}w\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML)}.shape { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML)}st1\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#ieooui)}@font-face { font-family: Tahoma;}@page Section1 {size: 8.5in 11.0in; margin: 1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; }P.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"}LI.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"}DIV.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"}A:link { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline}SPAN.MsoHyperlink { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline}A:visited { COLOR: purple; TEXT-DECORATION: underline}SPAN.MsoHyperlinkFollowed { COLOR: purple; TEXT-DECORATION: underline}P { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN-LEFT: 0in; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0in; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto}SPAN.EmailStyle18 { COLOR: navy; FONT-FAMILY: Arial; mso-style-type: personal-reply}DIV.Section1 { page: Section1} On aside note. Will changing a users profile from roaming to local preserve that profile on the server you change it on. In other words, will it copy down the profile from the remote share it lives on and then treat it as local? -----Original Message----- From: Ron Oglesby [mailto:Roglesby@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, November 11, 2004 10:28 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Roaming Profiles in TS Doug, Hit me offline and I will send you some stuff about profiles. Or you can get the info in any Brian Madden?s books, the best chapter (I think) are the ones on User configurations Ron Oglesby Director of Technical Architecture RapidApp, Chicago Office: 312 372 7188 Mobile: 815 325 7618 email: roglesby@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Doug Rooney Sent: Thursday, November 11, 2004 10:23 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Roaming Profiles in TS Importance: High Hello As I have said before, I am somewhat new to this arena. I have 10 to 12 remote users that connect with WinTerms to MS Terminal Services on two servers. I tried to set up roaming profiles at one time and the one user I chose used Outlook as well as other apps, the results were disastrous, she could no longer see all of her e-mails, it seemed as she switched servers, she had a different profile. So of course I stopped using roaming profiles, well now we are considering a load balancing product that of course requires roaming profiles. So with all that said, does anyone know of an on-line resource that is clear and concise for setting up roaming profiles? Due the fact that we have so few users and only 2 servers, I may scrap the idea, but I would like to learn this aspect of the 'Windows' world. Thank You -Doug Rooney Sonoma TileMakers 7750 Bell Rd.
