How are you killing explorer? -----Original Message----- From: Mark Cook [mailto:mc@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, May 24, 2004 8:18 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Reboot If it's PSxxx then it's probably a sysinternals tool (www.sysinternals.com). However, have you got anything logged on/running on the server console ? I have a colleague who developed a similar problem with explorer.exe on the console causing the issue. As soon as explorer.exe was killed on the console the scheduled reboot completed without any further issues ! -----Original Message----- From: Turman, David C. If I shedule a reboot, the app log shows the 30 and 60 second warning, but it never boots. I have tried 2 different versions of TSSHUTDN and even the the old SHUTDOWN to no avail. I rebuilt the server. It seems the app is stepping on something. This thing booted fine for 1 1/2 years with no major changes but Security Patches, and none of them correspond with the demise of the booting. Any ideas? I was going to try the PSSHUTDN, or whatever that is, but can't seem to find it! ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Terminal Server Edition Free Terminal Service Edition software with 2 years maintenance. http://www.tarantella.com/ttba ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Terminal Server Edition Free Terminal Service Edition software with 2 years maintenance. http://www.tarantella.com/ttba ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Tarantella Secure Global Desktop Terminal Server Edition Free Terminal Service Edition software with 2 years maintenance. http://www.tarantella.com/ttba ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm
