Sort of simplistic but did you remember to refresh the icons on the client
since then?

I don't have IISLOCKD.

And I don't have the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" box checked in
the advanced settings of Internet explorer.

Everything was working fine yesterday.

The only thing I did was a small modification of one of the published app.

I use the CMC on server1 (the datastore) and made one of the published app
Available only on server1 instead of all servers.
