Chris,

On your DNS server see if the host ICA is assigned to any specific IP, ICA
should be pointing to your master xp server...

Subject: [THIN] Question on Client Protocols

Hi all and Happy Holidays,

I have recently taken over the administration of a new citrix network.
The previous administrator rolled out the clients set to use "TCP/IP+HTTP"
and then specified 4 servers in the Primary Server Group Address list. This
has worked until recently, when we began having reports of clients not able
to connect to the farm. There has not been any changes that I can
attribute this problem to. Clients affected appear to sporadically have
the connection problem and it occurs with users on the local LAN as well as
remote locations. The servers are not heavily loaded and I do not believe
the network is overly congested. I can fix the problem immediately by
switching affected clients over to "TCP/IP" only. In my research,
(specifically CTX624152) it states that TCP/IP+HTTP "Resolves host name
"ICA" to find MetaFrame servers".

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Does creating a "ICA" A record
pointing to the Farm correct this? Any other thoughts?

Thanks in Advance
