If app on 1 or 2 and app on 1-4, if the first app you launch puts you on 1 or 2 then you can session share. If you the first app you launch puts you on 3 or 4, then you will have to create a new session to be placed on 1 or 2. If you launch a pub app with audio enabled and try to launch another pub app without audio enabled, they will not session share. The same for vice versa. I believe this applies to the pub app parameters and not citrix policies or listener properties. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Evan Mann Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 2:54 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] RE: [THIN] Re: Published app screen size/audio settings I have color depth and encryption all the same. But audio and servers can vary. If I have same audio, color depth, and ica encryption, but AppA runs on servers 1-4, and Appb runs on servers 1 and 2 only, would that mean the sessions couldnt be shared? Or could they share on servers 1 and 2 only the apps got sent to those two servers? And likewise, if I have the same color depth, ica encryption, and servers, but have audio available on AppA but not on AppB, that means that only AppA and B can't do sessions sharing? Would AppC be able to share with AppA if it had audio enabled? _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Carl Stalhood Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 3:45 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Published app screen size/audio settings App screen size does not matter since the clients will override and connect using Seamless instead. Audio does matter. The following pub app parameters must be the same to facilitate session sharing: * Audio (enabled or disabled) * Color Depth * ICA Encryption * Servers If you don't session share, you could launch multiple sessions to the same server and the last session wins in regards to auto-created printers. Not session sharing also consumes more resources. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Evan Mann Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 11:10 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Published app screen size/audio settings Is there still merit behind past suggestions to set the published app screen size and audio settings to be all the same when using PS4? Everyone is using PNAgent or Web Client. It was previously noted that this can help with printer related problems.
