Hi,
This sounds like a delightful post SP3 issue that had me tearing my
hair. If we're talking about the same thing, the printer port files only
get created on network shares, not local drives.

I have a three server farm. Users can not print jpg files from
MS Photo Editor on one of the servers. The others work fine.
Print jobs are not spooling, a file with the name of the printer
port is being created in the folders where the jpg files are located.
