and be careful, some ssl vpn's will keep the client side connection going with 
2598 even though the server side wants to drop back to 1494.... leaving your 
client thinking its connected.... (to nothing)

Yes, but it is not always reliable.  You can turn off session reliability at th 
eclient or disable it at the farm level.
