If you do a search on your servers after installing Office xp, or 2k with an MST transform for any *.prf files. You should find one in the same location where office was installed. The pathing for it can be either local to the server (by default with a transform / mst file) or on a UNC / mapped drive if you used the ORK to create a customized PRF file separate from your MST. Of course you need to make sure users have the proper rights to get to it . . where ever it may be. But getting it fixed took some doing. In the end it turned out to be a registry setting that was not quite right. There are 2 locations in the registry that contain the info that needs to be passed on to new users about where to get the preset PRF from. Both of these registry locations should have the same information in them. Hkey_users\.default\software\microsoft\office\10.0\outlook\setup\Impor tPRF And Hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\Windows NT\Currentversion\terminal server\intall\software\microsoft\office\10.0\outlok\setup\ImportPRF My problems were caused by the 'importprf' path in the 'local machine' portion of the registry being incorrect. Once the right path was set, I had no more problems with the autocreation of outlook profiles. So I have been unable to get outlook to come out preconfigured for a user.
