Are their printers auto-creating. It may be a simple, wait for printers to
auto-create before starting the app setting.

Or we can start digging around in office.

How do I get rid of the Word message. "No printers are installed..."
that appears if the user's session didn't autocreate a printer for
some reason?

I'd preffer that they don't try to add printers on their own like the
stupid dialog suggests.
