I am wondering if anyone here have setup a wireless network with multiple access point and having roaming client. I have setup multiple Cisco Aironet 1100 AP all over our factory floor. I made sure the channels does not overlap. According to one of the tech I spoke to from our vendor, he recommended that I use different SSID for each of the AP. So that is how I set it up. The clients are thin client running on forklift truck. The terminals are Viewsonic 1100 tablet PC terminals. The problem I have is that when they are running around, and get out of range of the original AP they are using, the tablet PC does not automatically reaquire a new AP that is in its range. One have to manually hit the rescan to reconnect to another AP. Any idea how this can be done?
