[THIN] OT: old laptop OS recommendation

the wife just picked up a beater Gateway laptop for $25 - 1.2GHz P4mobile,
30GB hdd, 256MB memory - which do you suppose it better, stick with XP
(already installed) or Win7 Starter?

I'd go ahead and try Win7 and then roll back if it stunk if I was even
remotely ambitious, but I'm not.
