[THIN] OT: email tracing

A client recieved an email from someone outside there company. This email
was a threat and sounded very serious. They are wanting to trace the email
and try and find out who sent it? Is there a way to do this, or companies
that do this sort of thing? I recommended calling the authorities but they
still want to know if there is someone that can do traces on emails?
