Oh wow... And I thought that ones I'd seen when looking last year were bad. Run Flee Hide!!! Or wait, maybe this could be an attempt to hire someone who's primary Language is not English? This is just *bad* though. It seems more to me that they are trying to phish for personal information (used to be - God I hope people don't do this anymore - people would put as much of their personal info on a resume' as would fit, to include SSN)... I was reading something on Slashdot yesterday about how people are doing things like this to steal address information for identity theft or illegal immigrants to work in the US. Be careful out there guys. My rule of thumb is, don't submit your resume' to someone you haven't *spoken* to. I haven't been a consultant for as long as some of you, maybe 7 years or so, but it seems to me that the quality of solicitations from recruiters has progressively gotten worse in the last couple of years or so. I've gotten job req's from free email accounts (yahoo, msn, hotmail), and the grammar and language has gotten progressively worse as well. Granted, it's common and accepted for the initial call to be fielded by a recruiter or intern who isn't knowledgeable about every IT job out there, but come on! The following solicitation seemed so absurd to me that I've been saving it as an example of the worse recruitment attempt out there. It seriously gave me a giggle. I'd love to see some more examples out there, I need a good laugh. > -----Original Message----- > From: <. . .> > Sent: <. . .> > To: <. . .> > Subject: meta Systems Admintrator > > > Hi, > Pl send me ur resume in word format with ur phone numbers if your > interested > for the below mentioned req....... > Here the req goes...... > > Req: meta Systems Admintrator > Duration: 3 Months > Location: Sunnyvale, CA. <. . .>
