What make and model are your mice? I've been unable to find serial / PS/2
combo mice for ages now. The last ones we had were a microsoft model that
worked well on W95 with no extra drivers. Logitech still make serial mice
but I don't know how long that will last.

Subject: [THIN] OT: PS/2 mouse on COM1 port

Guys,

I feel really bad posting this stupid problem but I hope it makes sense to
some of you who does't work for a very rich institution ;).

We run older PCs here and keep maintenance low. The ongoing issue we have is
lack of COM mices. There are only PS/2 available. They come with PS/2-COM
adapter but our PII W95 PCs do not seem to recognise PS/2 mouse with these
adapters. Basically I replace COM mouse with PS/2 one and adapter, blow away
mouse from device Manager, reboot and W95 can not detect mouse. I tried
Add/Remove hardqware, tried to blow away COM1 port at no luck.

Is this W95 issue? I think W98 doesn't have that problem...

Any help is appreciated.
