We were trying to setup a pop account in outlook as well as the exchange
connection. Works fine for all users but wasn't working for her. My tech
was suppose to just delete her profile and then recreate it but he delete
her account as well. So we created a new account and added it as the
primary nt account on the mailbox.

Have you run the Knowledge Consistancy Checker on the directory? What do
you mean by "It was working earlier then we had a problem with her profile
so we deleted the a profile and account and recreated her then reassigned
the mailbox to her new account." Did you actually delete her NT account?
If so, why? What was the problem that caused you to do this?

Chris

I have a user on an NT4 domain trying to connect to Exch 5.5 server using OL
2000. her account is setup and her mailbox is setup with the primary nt
account assigned to it. She logs in and runs OL and gets the following
error after setting it up.

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. You do not have permission to
log on."

I hit ok and it asks if you want to open the default file system folder
instead. Hit no and then it closes.

I am at a loss. I can't figure out why it will not work. It was working
earlier then we had a problem with her profile so we deleted the a profile
and account and recreated her then reassigned the mailbox to her new
account. Should be fine. I have done this same thing for other users,
several dozen times.
