This is a security feature. It exists in all versions of office after
office 2000 sp2. (sr1-a and earlier are not affected). I think this was
first fixed about the same time as the Melissa virus? There are tools that
you can install that will auto click the yes which is obviously a massive
hole for viruses. There are also some exchange type things that can also be
done but not being a guru I'd advise you to search the MS website. I
remember seeing a few articles about it.

I'm in the process of piloting a system for the secure transfer of doctors
referrals letters to hospitals. It encrypts files and emails them using
whatever MAPI compliant mail system is installed on clients PCs. It works
perfectly but unfortunately Outlook 2003 pops up a warning whenever an
external program tries to send mail and asks for confirmation from the user.
That wouldn't be too bad but the "yes" button is disabled for several
seconds after the window appears, which is annoying if lots of transfers are
taking place.
Does anyone know anything about this feature, ie can it be turned off or can
the delay before the yes button is activated be removed?
