Then you need Enterprise and not regular 2003 Server adding probably a
couple thousand per server on the solution. That is why we wrote
something to eliminate the need for session directory. :-)

As Claudio stated, NLB isn't really recommended for TS load balancing.
You
would need to run and enable Session Directory for it to work properly.
If
all you need is remote management, just connect to the remote manage IP
of
the member, and not the NLB IP.

And as far as I know there is no fix for that. NLB is not really a load
balancing solution for TSs.
Even my WTSGateway (not the Pro version!) works and behaves much
better...

We are running W2K3 and I am connecting to the NLB IP address. At this
point, I have not added port rules specifically for 3389.

The connections are being limited, the problem I see is when one of the
servers exceeds the connections limit. RDP connections still get
directed to
the "over limit" server and the RDP client connection is rejected.

NLB is only going to direct traffic to the participating NLB Cluster
members. I am surprised to see that the RDP listener on the members
isn't
limiting the connections. I will have to test this in my lab later this
week. BTW, what version of Windows are you running? And, are you
connecting to the management IP of the NLB member, or the NLB IP
address? I
also assume that you have specified 3389/TCP in the services that NLB
will
load balance for (if you are attempting to load balance a TS "farm".

Is there a way to limit the number of RDP connections to the individual
servers participating in NLB. You can limit connections via RDP or GPO
but
NLB does not seem to recognize these settings=3D20
