Ah. I see where you are coming from now. Tricky. All ours are the
same here. =20

Try sticking in the drive letter with the GPO and see what happens. It
might fail but you never know, you might get lucky.

The user's home directories are on different servers depending on the
location of the employee. I don't want to map to there TS home directory
but there regular home directory. I thought there would be an easy way
to set that if the common drive letter was used.

Use GPO and point it to \\server\users\%username% where \\server\users
is the path to the home drive server.

We are not mapping based on group membership, the firm decided on using
stardard drive letters. I want to map it back to the user's home
directory which is the same drive letter across the firm.

Is there anyway to accomplish this? Or can we remove the My Documents
feature completely from the TS servers.=3D20

It is not advised to use a mapped drive letter for re-directing My
Documents. If you are mapping a drive letter based on group membership,
then you can do this with re-directing My Documents. You should be
using the UNC path to the folder location you want to re-direct to.

We are currently running Metaframe XP3 on Windows 2003. I was wondering
what the best way to redirect the users My Documents folder to another
location.
I know you can do it via the GPO, but it seems that when I but a drive
letter in the GPO, it never seems to map quickly enough.
=3D20

I would like to use a drive letter instead of UNC because are firm has
standardize drive letters and all the file server are in different
locations but the drive letters remain the same.

Thanks for your help in advance.=3D20
