[THIN] More Printer Weirdness

We just upgraded an app from Wink/MF1.8 to Win2k3/PS 4.0 and are
having some strange printer issues.
I can look at a server and I can see both of (at the same time)
client's printer mappings. One is in the format of:
//printserver/printername [UPD:PCL5c] (from CLIENTNAME)
in session #
The other maps like...
printername [UPD:PCL5c] (from CLIENTNAME) in session #
The first one works fine, the second does not. Any ideas why
they appear and behave differently?
