Products: Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Microsoft Windows 2000

Summary

If the Universal Printer Driver is mistakenly deleted, previously there was a
utility tool with Feature Release 2 to reinstall the Universal Printer Driver.

Confirmation that the Universal Printer Driver has been deleted can be seen by
reviewing both the Print Server Properties > Drivers tab > Installed printer
drivers and the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CCS\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT
X86\Drivers\Version-3

Starting with MetaFrame XP Feature Release 3, the Citrix aliases for the UPD
are no longer used. Universal drivers are now installed with their given names.
However, they are highlighted when displayed in the Management Console driver
list as HP Color LaserJet 4500 (MetaFrame XP PCL5c Universal Driver).

Procedure

1. Add the driver HP Color LaserJet 4500.

2. Update Printer and Driver Information in the Management Console.

3. Universal Printer Driver then appears in the Management Console as HP Color
LaserJet 4500 (MetaFrame XP PCL5c Universal Driver).
