I knew the word MEMORY had something to do with it!

You need to reduce the size of the memory in the boot.ini file to install IE
if it is more than 256 kb. See this in the archives:

Isn't this the thing with the memory or something? Seems you
have to do something to the Page File or memory size before
you installt. Yes, I am quite rusty also!

NT 4.0 TSE MF 1.8 SP3

Just finished a clean install of everything (OS and MF and IE. No other apps
yet). Everything works except IE. After clicking on the IE icon, IE displays
Splash screen for about 1/2 second, then dies. Task Manager does not show IE
at all. IF I look at "Internet Options" in Control Panels, It looks good
except the last tab (Advanced). Under this tab it is completely black...no
options listed, no nothing, just the Advance tab with the other tabs. I
tried a reinstall of IE 6 to no avail. I have even reinstalled (clean) of
the NT 4.0 TSE and SPs and MF 1.8. The results are the same.

I know that I am quite rusty on NT 4.0 because lack of use. But, what am I
missing? Any ideas? Who still remembers NT 4.0 TSE?
