[THIN] Hung servers at logon

Evening all
I have a really strange problem where my servers are randomly locking up.
I am unable to log into the server console and there are no common errors
in the event logs. I've previously have 2 servers drop at a time but today
I had 4 servers go down, including the dedicated data collector. I cannot
resolve server information from the CMC. When I try logging in from the
CMC or the server console I get the logon prompt but when I log in I get
the blank light blue background.
Only event log errors near the time of the lockup are MSIinstaller because
of MSOffice 2000 and CDM (yet undetermined client device). But these are
not common on all servers.
Today I left 3 of the servers and after 5 minutes they came back online by
themselves (the sessions on the consoles finally logged in).
Has anyone seen this problem before?
I am running Win2k SP2 with MetaFrame XPe FR2. I have a farm of 16 servers
that are part way through deployment to 500 users.
