What about Internet Explorer's (our published application) need to access the C: drive to store it's cache files? Will this policy affect that or will it only be a policy for those who want to use Explorer? Also, how will this policy affect non-anonymous users that need to log into that box to administer the box either thru RDP or console? Policy only on a group? -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Durbin [mailto:techlists@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2003 2:37 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Hiding C: drive from clients in Internet Explorer You shouldn't have to hack the dll to keep them from getting to the C drive. If you configure the group policy to deny access to the C drive in Explorer, it shouldn't matter that they can get the Open dialog. Drive C will be denied. It's pretty easy. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Volante Systems 18 Heussler Terrace, Milton 4064 Queensland Australia tel +61 7 32467704 -----Original Message----- From: Columna, Melvin [mailto:Melvin.Columna@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, 4 December 2003 5:10 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Hiding C: drive from clients in Internet Explorer Hi All, We have Internet Explorer 5.5 as a published anonymous application, but we'd like to have them not be able to type C:\ in the URL bar (or Control-L, Control-O) in order to access the Citrix server's C: drive. Is there a technique for this? Policies? Rename Explorer.exe ?
