The first thing I would look at is how large is the profile.

Are you keeping temporary internet files and cookies in the profile or =
using a policy so they go somewhere else?

Subject: [THIN] Help ... Profiles takeing a long time to load

When a user logs in they are seeing "loading personal settings" for a
lot longer than usual, 3+ min.
We are an Xpe Sp2 FR1 farm running Windows 2000 sp2.

The only thing we see is on the domain server there is a process called
vxsvc.exe taking a lot of processing time.
Also, it was working fine yesterday, then last night the network Admin.
Loaded CA Inoculate for the first time on the DC.
We have CA Inoculate loaded on all our other servers with no problems.

Any ideas?

We have tried shutting down the AV with no success.

Thanks,

Bruce Jarrett-Norton
