[THIN] Re: HP LJ2300

we've been using the 4000 for checks but have just about killed it in
the 6 years we have used it. The 4300 looks like the current
replacement for it but at $1700 each, it is cheaper just to give each of
them their own medium sized printer. We don't do the volume of checks
like we did in the past.

Where I worked before our MICR check printer was a 4100 also. I always
use the PS drivers.

Hope this helps.

that helps. I have been buying nothing but Oki for the past two
years. These users need to print with MICR toner for checks and nobody
makes MICR toner for Oki so I am looking at HP. I'm just not up to
speed on their offerings anymore.

We have used them for a while without issues. I ran the LJ 2300
with the PS driver.

        Hope this helps.

Is anyone using the HP LJ 2300 printer?

I am looking at replacing two LJ 4000 printers that are shared
by three people and just giving them each their own 2300. Will it run
as a LJ 4 Plus? We use Great Plains and for some reason reports get
funky with other drivers so we just run things as a 4 plus and
everything turns out ok.

        Thanks!

        Greg
