I am noticing that my Winterminals are not getting this error message, only
PC's, and these PC's are ones that are running Windows 2000.

Is this the only server that has this problem? By chance do you have
a Windows 2000 Terminal Services Licesing Server, and did you
Authorize and Register it with Microsoft? I know that I ran into
issues in my test lab because I didn't have a MS Licensing Server.
Of course, this is if you are running Windows 2000 Terminal Services
with your MF XP product.

That is exactly what I did for the two servers that were fresh
installs, this latest server that is giving me the problem was an
upgrade from 1.8. The upgrade appeared to go smoothly, once I
rebooted, I installed Service Pack 1 with FR1, rebooted again, opened
the CMC and whala, all the licensing showed up no problem. Then it
started locking up.

sorry about that. Sometimes it is a little tricky to link to Jim's =
stuff.

- From thethin.net Citrix Faq's:

Question:=20
I got my upgrade to Metaframe XP, we wiped the servers and did a
clean = install and now users cannot logon. We get the message Citrix
ICA Logon = Message " The system has reached its licensed logon
limit. Please try = again later.. What is the problem?

Response:=20
The Subscription Advantage provided licenses for MetaFrame XP are =
Migration licenses. Therefore, if you do a clean install, the
migration = licenses will not be valid unless a full license for a
previous version = is installed. You must enter the original license
on the XP server and it will convert = the old serial number to an XP
serial.=20 Then, you have to add the new converted serial to the
Farm. Then = activate it.=20

Well, there appears to be a problem with the site. I tried to access
the link and got an "Error Executing Database Query" message.

Maybe you should post what that FAQ was about.

Subject: [THIN] HELP!- CMC not assigning licenses

I have just upgraded my last of 3 servers from 1.8 to XPa, they all
run Windows 2000. In the CMC under the licenses tab, connections, I
show 65 licenses for a count, pooled in use shows 0, pooled available
shows 65, assigned shows 0. In my event log, I am getting a message
"Application
Popup- Citrix ICA logon message-The system has reached it's licensed
=3D logon limit, Please try again later." Why isn't XP assigning
these licenses =3D if they are pooled and ready to hand out??

I have a lot of users who are trying to get on the system and getting
=3D this message, as you can imagine it is becoming an "issue"

Thanks in advance!

Collin White

P.S. All of these servers are at Feature release 1, I have not
installed =3D FR2 yet
