I always thought it was good practice to avoid pcl 6 drivers in a metaframe environment, as per http://www.thomaskoetzing.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=120&Itemid=194 ----- Original Message ---- From: Jason Patten <jasoncitrix@xxxxxxxxx> To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, August 24, 2007 4:39:45 PM Subject: [THIN] Re: Fonts in citrix print jobs well I dont really have the ability to change what the client is using.. All of them are remote sites (ASP environment) But that is interesting option I will keep in mind if possible. Right now its easier to email them the font file and say copy it here, then to try and get them to change printer drivers... Some of them are confused by "right-click"... Ahh the joys of phone support... But its nice to hear that it has happened to someone else On 8/24/07, deheugden <deheugden@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: did you test with the ps driver?? we had the problem several years ago whit the euro font.changing too a different driver and adjusting the send true type as bitmap option worked fine in those days. 2007/8/24, Jason Patten <jasoncitrix@xxxxxxxxx>: We have an accounting app that prints Checks, I have noticed that appearantly, on some printers, the MICR font (truetype) is not sent down with the print job. I have a few clients that after we migrated them to PS4 when they attempted to print checks, the MICR font no longer printed. I was able to resolve it by putting a copy of the MICR font ont he local PC, but it seems as if htat shouldn't b necessary. SO far this appears to apply to HP Laserjet 4200 with the PCL 6 driver. Has anyone seen anything similar? ____________________________________________________________________________________ Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect.
