Hi Scott,

That can happen when local color palette does not match ICA client.
Usually pallets are adjusted to the closest match, however large number of local applications on the fat client with unmanaged pallets can produce interesting artifacts. The same can happen with several remote apps that have a hard time sharing one palette.

Solution?

Run in high color mode (16-bit versus 8-bit), which will require clients with high color support. If this is not an option (limitations due to bandwidth or client configuration), advise users to limit number of concurrent apps run by the individual user.

ALEX

Subject: [THIN] Field discolouration in published Citrix apps

Hi all,

Just had a few incidents of some fields and tool buttons showing in
irregular colour (eg, changed from light to dark blue, yellow to red etc).
Occured once each in Iress, Exploer and Netscape. This didn't affect
functionality (although it would have been a problem if any data entry
fields were too dark to see what they were typing), and was resolved by
closing and relaunching each app.

has anyone seen this kind of behavior before please?

thanks Scott
