??????? We have been running it for 2 years without a problem. I'm not sure what yours is. There are about a hundred fixes that SP6 fixes along with the security rollup. If you aren't running it your system is full of holes. JK -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Feign, Cory Sent: Tuesday, October 01, 2002 10:29 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] FW: blank listeners, event id 1006, connq state (resend) greetings, have an interesting issue. we're running mf 1.8 sp3 on nt4sp5. 35-50 users per server. on different servers, in citrix server admin, listeners will show up with just the blue monitor icon and no description or connection number. if caught early on, the connection can be reset and they disappear. if left over the course of a few hours, the blank listeners will replicate, causing an event id 1006 (no error description available) for each new blank listener. eventually 15-20 listeners are created and the pn service fails, and will not restart without a reboot. at one point i saw a process in an "sspd" state, but i lost connectivity to the server shortly thereafter and could not determine what that process was. i'm guessing that maybe that process is what broke the listeners, but i can't tell any clues? i'm trying to recreate the problem, but can't find the condition that causes it. thanks, ********************************************** This weeks sponsor 99Point9.com 99Point9 helps solve your unresolved technical server-based questions, issues and incidents. http://www.99point9.com *********************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
