I didn't tell the full story as i wasn't relevent......this is a greenfield site for a large client who has just bought out a competitor...we have only just got rid of the NT 4 BDCs brought in from the buy out and Proj Mgmt wont allow move the native mode until the weekend even the the assessed risk is neglegable Sorry to mislead any one...I have found the fix 5 minutes ago...... Last night we carried out resilience testing by removing a patch cable one by one and forcing a failover in the Compaq team (servers are DL360s). Knowing how fond of more than one adapter MetaFrame can be I has a hunch that a reboot would clear whatever anomoly I have created. It did. Thanks for the replies all that did. If only your clients are NT4, there's no reason for it not to be native mode - and actually plenty of reasons why you would want it to be native mode.
